Congratulations to Brandon Sanderson, Harriet MacDougal, the Tor Books team, and everyone who supported the latest Wheel of Time installment! Your efforts and support have brought yet another piece of Robert Jordan’s epic to the top slot on the New York Times bestseller list!
From Tor Books’s latest press release:

Congrats to all…and take a seat, Mr. Grisham!!
The New York Times bestseller lists appear in every Sunday edition of the newspaper, listed in the accompanying New York Times Book Review magazine, although the bestseller list typically appears on the Times‘s website a few days before.

Next step Conquer France and then we take over the world…Er… good show everyone, well done. Spread the word ToM is a good book… at the end of a few other good books:)

I think I know why subwoofer never succeeds in conquering the world now;)tempest™
Yay for Brandon and Team Jordan, and also us, WoT Fans!
We did that!
What? We did, why not own it?
Congratulations Brandon, Harriet, and Team Jordan.
Wow! Kudos to all! Great book…..of course!
Freelancer:
Ya’ll should _totally_ own it!
;-)
I knew that the WOT family was a large extended one, but I guess I didn’t count all of the second cousins twice removed.
Seriously, is anyone really surprised? I’m not.
I wasn’t able to pick up my pre-ordered copy until Tuesday evening after work. I had finished the transaction, put away my debit card and the clerk handed me the book. The instant it hit my hands, I broke out in goosebumps. Obviously this series affects thousands of people the same way and that is what makes this news a foregone conclusion.
Brandon, Harriet and the rest of the team; Thank you so much for everything you have done to make this happen. I’m still processing what I’ve read but I can say that I’m very satisfied.
and I keep getting goosebumps everytime I pick up the book…
Yay! Congratulations!
Can we have a Kindle version now?
Of course. Congrats, Brandon and all of Team Jordan!!!!
Brandon did an acceptable job on The Gathering Storm, and I was looking forward to reading book 13 on release. I do all of my reading through the NOOK now, and so I am highly disappointed in TOR that this was not released in digital format at the same time as the physical release.
@thewindrose- hah! see?! You spurn my world domination plans and what do you get?! Spammed by “send gifts and flowers to Paris, France, by http://www.damn spammers.com post 14. And you wonder why toppling that country is part of my many phase plan!!! Take away their accents and their funny pancakes and what do you get? The most annoying telemarketers in the world.
Happy Veterans Day folks!
Woof™.
subwoofer – too funny – maybe you are on to something…
(So subwoofer – is Canada Remembrance day a day where we remember that once the blight was Canada;)
Yay for us all! I have started my second and slower reread of ToM.
And a huge thank you to all Veterns out there.

Brentodd, I got a newsletter from Brandon that says the e-version will be out in Feb 2011.
No surprise, my local bookseller, where I purchased my copy, was not a Fantasy fan but she was amazed at the buzz about Towers of Midnight.
In my opinion it is always the characters. Whether I am reading Jordan, Jordan/Sanderson, King, Koontz it is not so much what it is about but Who it is about. Give me characters I love or love to hate and I will come back every time. Give me characters I wish I knew in real life and it is on and crackin’.
Robert Jordan and his team have given me dozens of these. Even the novels that seemed to take a while and wander afield have such shining moments now the ending is crashing down on all of us and it is pure awesome.
Nynaeve and Lan’s conversation about love, duty and death in the blight inEotW…Extremely close to my ideal of true romantic love.
Elayne and Aviendha becoming first sisters… blew me away with Robert Jordan’s ability to get to the heart of the matter.
Nynaeve rallying the Malkier to help Lan…this is my ideal of courage of conviction and truly loving and understanding her man enough to let him, even help him go… once again Tai’shar Manetheren! Tai’shar Malkier!
Just want to add my congratulations to the rest. As thewindrose says — you deserve it, T0M is an awesome book! Tonight I’ll be finishing my first, leisurely read of it. And then I know it’ll only be a very short time (I might last a whole week) :) before I’ll read it again. SO much happens in this volume! And so many emotional moments to experience as a reader. Thank you, thank you, Team Jordan!
Yey, I helped!
I’m rather curious about actual sales numbers. Does anyone ever release these? I’m curious to see some actual numbers not only for this one, but the series as a whole.
I picked out the first WOT on audio on a fluke. Sucked into the vortex. Made the journey. Don’t know where its going, but can’t wait to get there.
Anyone know what the predicted date is for #14?
Orionsgate @22 – Roughly, spring 2012. March or April, probably.
